A bout the piano:
Ignace Pleyel upright piano, 117 cm tall, manufactured in Paris between 1860-1865. 7octaves / 85 keys and 2 pedals: left = true una corda (hammer shift), right = sustain. It has a tape-check action with slide-escapement and over-dampers. It is oblique strung, with 2 iron bars, partial metal hitch-pin plate (bass) & double agraffes for all unisons. The case is veneered in red pyramid mahogany (not stained), with carved mahogany legs.
